Clinical Study
At Puristics, we believe that safety and
effectiveness go hand in hand. The ingredients in our products have
been carefully selected. We have gone even further and rigorously
tested all of our products to ensure that they are non-irritating, even for
sensitive skin. Additionally, we commissioned a clinical study to evaluate
how well Puristics delivers on the promise of effectiveness. The results
surpassed even our own expectations.
An independent laboratory conducted a clinical study during the Fall of 2010 to measure the effectiveness of our Totally Ageless Advanced Skin Rejuvenating Lotion. Thirty-five women, of all skin types, aged 35-59 (mean age of 48) years old used our face and neck lotion everyday for four weeks, returning to the laboratory weekly for evaluations. The study design incorporated an industry validated, three-pronged approach to measure effectiveness at each time-point: scientific instruments, Trained Clinical Expert evaluations, and individual panelist self-assessments.
Results
Puristics Totally Ageless Advanced Skin Rejuvenating Lotion began to work quickly, and the effects continued to build over time.
- At three weeks, the Visioscan demonstrated a measurable reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in 100% of the women in the study.
- Also by three weeks, the trained evaluator reported a visible reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in 97% of the women in the study.
- Additionally, at three weeks, 80% of the subjects self-reported a visible reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By week four, instrument readings revealed the following improvements:
- an average of 30.3% measured reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, with a maximum measured reduction of 57.4%
- an average of 61.2% increase in skin's moisture levels, with a maximum measured increase of 164.54%

Importantly, the average reduction in fine lines and wrinkles was statistically significant at each
time period.
Additionally, throughout the test period, the majority
of panelists perceived the Puristics product to improve the appearance and feel
of their skin. In fact, the majority of consumers reported
- skin looked more radiant
- fine lines in the crows feet area around the eyes were less noticeable
- skin looked younger
- skin looked healthier
By the end of the study all consumers felt that the product was easy to use,
absorbed easily and felt lightweight and non-greasy.
